Larry Gomillion, Lead Vocals

Larry's strong lead voice is the foundation for Southern Tradition’s harmony.  He grew up in Freeport, Florida and now resides in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He has performed as a soloist for many years throughout the area. Larry is married to Jenny and has two sons, Grady Luke age 7, and Brad, age 25. Larry began singing gospel music when he was in high school and has served as minister of music at several churches. Larry and his family are members of Southwide Baptist Church.

 

 

Chris Bowden, Baritone Vocals

Chris Bowden is an absolutely awesome vocalist and sings baritone for Southern Tradition Quartet. He sang with Eleventh Hour Ministries until joining STQ. Chris' hometown is Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and he currently lives in Southport, FL. Chris attended college at Lurleen B. Wallace College and Auburn University earning degrees in  nursing/political science. Chris is currently working with his brother, Mike, at Bowden Lumber Company in Southport, FL. His birthday is March 9, 1979 and he is single. His parents are Joe and Vickye Bowden. He attends Central Pentacostal Ministries Church. His favorite singing groups are The Perrys, Dixie Echoes, and The original Hinsons. He loves bass fishing, is an avid Auburn fan, and enjoyes travelling abroad.

He has a beloved pet Shitzu named Elie.

 

Rosemary Garner, Tenor Vocals

Rosemary Garner is originally from De Funiak Springs, FL, the daughter of William Ray and Mary Merritt.  She has one brother, James Merritt with whom she has been singing with most recently. Rosemary attended Walton County School System and played in the band and sang with the chorus. She also attended Troy State University and performed with "The Sound of the South" marching band as well as the Collegiate singers. Rosemary graduated from Wallace Community College and has a degree in nursing.   She has been singing most of her life starting with childrens groups and sang her first solo at age 14.  Rosemary has played the piano since age 8 and is currently the pianist at Friendship Baptist church where She and her family are members.  She has performed  the special music at the Walton Middle school veterans day program for approximately 10 years and has performed with the Grit and Grace folk life production for 5 years.
     Rosemary has been married to Danny Garner for 14 years and they have 2 children Austin and Morgan, and 2 step children, Patrick and Courtney. Her family enjoys traveling, going to the movies and the beach.  
    Rosemary currently works as the nurse for the elementary school where her children attend.  She has been a nurse for 18 years and has worked in various fields of nursing. She loves being a nurse but would rather sing about Jesus any day!!!!

 

Roger Howard, Bass Vocals

Roger has been singing bass since he was fifteen years old and is a tremendous vocalist. His booming bass voice is truly amazing. Roger has performed with the Evangels Quartet, the Fowler Family and the Representatives Quartet just to name a few. He was born in Bonifay, Florida and now resides in Caryville, Florida. He has a lovely daughter, Pamela, and a beautiful five year old granddaughter, named Mackenzie and an adorable grandson, Dillon. Roger is a member of Grace Baptist Church in Ponce de Leon, Florida.
