Southern Tradition Quartet “STQ” is a traditional Southern Gospel quartet based in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, organized in November 2003. Our members are Chris Bowden, Baritone; Larry Gomillion, Lead; Rosemary Garner, Tenor; and Roger Howard, Bass.

STQ has had the opportunity to perform at many local churches and events. They have placed 1st in the Group Division of the Florida Chautauqua Gospel Music Talent Search. They have had the opportunity to open for many nationally acclaimed groups including the Anchormen, Aaron Wilburn, the Gann Brothers, Mike Bowling and the Crabb Family, the Booth Brothers, and the Kingsmen Quartet. They were also blessed to be the 1st Place Winners in the ECSGMA Talent Competition in January 2005. STQ also enjoys working with another group, “Robert and James” (Robert McMillan and James Singletary) who have a “Top 20” hit on the Christian Country Music charts. STQ currently has two albums, the self-titled “Southern Tradition Quartet” and the newest release, “Pray”.

We hope to be spreading God's Word for many years to come and will work hard to bring God's message and touch the hearts of people everywhere.
